Daily Share- How Long?
“For forty days, every morning and evening, the Philistine champion strutted in front of the Israelite army.”
1 Samuel 17:16 NLT
In the ins and outs and ups and downs of everyday life we often grow blind to the strut of the enemy in our lives. We adapt an out of sight out of mind mentality. We try to explain things away and just write them off as bad luck or just something that happens. That is exactly what Satan wants us to do. He wants us to be blinded to his devices and plans against us. He wants us to cower in fear when we do get the nerve to accuse him of doing something In our lives. He wants us to be afraid of even thinking that we have power over him. So he struts and struts and struts day after day after day, just daring us to acknowledge him so he can unleash on us.
What a joke! Why in the world would we as children of the most high God, ever let him get away with strutting around in our lives? The bible clearly tells us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. To not be ignorant of the Devils devices. Why? Because he is a real adversary. He is really out there to destroy us. We have to know what’s going on. We have to recognize when he starts strutting around in our lives. Don’t let your guard down. Be spiritually prepared every day to conquer him. Remember who you are. You are filled with the spirit of the most high God. He has given us power and authority over Satan. We don’t have to watch him strut around killing, stealing and destroying in our lives. Don’t cower in fear when you recognize him strutting in your life, but be empowered that Jesus came to conquer death hell and the grave, and Satan has no power over those who bear His name.
Little David recognized this and look how God used him! He wasn’t afraid of anything his enemies brought to the table. He faced giant after giant in his life and was victorious every single time. It wasn’t because he was mighty, but because the power of God was able to work mightily through him. He understood the power that God had given him. So should we.
How long will you let him strut in your life? I say it stops today!
