Daily share- Stay calm.
“The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.””
Exodus 14:14 NLT
If there’s one thing the Lord has been really speaking to me lately it’s this. It has brought so much peace to my life in such a short period of time. Just stay calm.
It sounds so easy to do this, yet the first sign of trouble and we get all out of control and the very worst scenario is running through our minds even when it contradicts the word of God. The real challenge here is believing that no matter the situation that the Lord will fight for us so we just need to remain calm and trust him while he works.
I know when the lord first really started speaking to me I brought him something that I had been terrified of for a long time. I knew worrying and being fearful of this thing had me bound and I was really asking the Lord to deliver me from that fear. His response was simple and yet has changed my life dramatically and increased my faith tremendously. He said “Leiah, there’s nothing you can do about it either way.” So simple. Something I knew all along but just needed the Lord to remind me of it. When I took what he said and really begin to meditate on that I realized that while there is ultimately nothing I could do about my situation, I could be found believing God through it, and that really is the most important thing. It gave me such peace and really reminded me that while there’s nothing I can do, he can do all things. So why spend my time worrying about what’s going to happen when my life is in the very best hands. I serve a mighty God who will fight for his children. I serve a God who will go before me, always a step ahead and cause even the worst of situations to work out for my good.
I have to remind my self of this daily, but it’s getting easier and easier to trust the Lord. He took the pressure off to have to worry about things my self. It’s his job to worry about the outcome of my life and my job to follow the instructions he gives me and trust him with my life. If we both are found doing our jobs then all will work out for my good. Don’t let the Lord look down on you like he did me and find you in turmoil about your situation when you really should just be calm and trusting in him. Let him find you calm and trusting. He will do the fighting for us!
Be encouraged today! The Lord is fighting for you!
