Daily Share-A joyful heart.

“The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭19:8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If there’s one thing I appreciate about serving the Lord, it’s that he’s very clear about what he wants for me. It’s a rarity in this life to find people that will communicate honestly and clearly with you. There are usually ulterior motives, and underlying expectations. It’s really exhausting most days to try and navigate the interactions we have with others, but not the Lord. He’s always clear.

I never have to wonder if what he’s telling me is right. I never have to wonder what he meant by what he said. I never have to wonder if he told me to do or say something to trap me into looking foolish. His commandments are always the right thing to do in any circumstance of life, and give me great insight to the way he expects my life to look. It refreshing on so many levels. I don’t feel the pressure I do when working for people. I don’t feel the overwhelming sense of never being good enough when serving the Lord. I don’t feel embarrassed if I can’t do something, and I’m not afraid to ask for help. I feel loved, and appreciated. I know that every single detail of what I do for him is noticed and makes him proud. I never have to wonder where I stand with him.

Because the Lord is so clear, it isn’t some great mystery in life to find joy in your heart. Not happiness but real, true, unwavering joy. We just have to know the commands of the Lord, and follow them.

I hope this helps you find joy in your heart today, because thats exactly what the Lord desires for you.
